Needs for the MOM in Nigeria

Our long-term goal is to implement a strategy that makes the Ministry of Mercy Orphanage as self-sustaining as possible. Reaching that goal, however, is a lengthy process and is full of challenges. Your gifts are necessary to help us care effectively for these boys and girls. Listed below are the many needs and many ways in which you can make a difference in the lives of the children in Nigeria.

Feeding: $6000-$7000 per month – Donate Now

  • Formula (approx. 18 cartons/month)
  • Milk (approx. 16 cartons/month)
  • Food
  • Additional protein (cow, eggs, smoked fish)
  • Fish ponds maintenance and restocking – $500 monthly support

Staff Salaries: $34425 per month – Donate Now

  • Teachers
  • Aunties, cooks, cleaning, etc.
  • Administration
  • On Site Health Providers
  • Pastors to shepherd the children – $1000 a monthly support

Healthcare: $1500 per month (special urgent cases not included) – Donate Now

  • Drugs (anti-malarials, antibiotics, etc)
  • Sanitation/hygiene
  • Immunizations
  • IV needs
  • Laboratory / Hospital bills
  • Help to those with HIV/AIDS
  • Healthcare Equipment

Education: $4000-$5000 termly – Donate Now

  • Secondary school fees (tuition, housing, food, etc.)
  • University/college fees (tuition, housing, food, textbooks, etc.)
  • Uniforms
  • School supplies

  • Teacher development

Special Needs: boys and girls dorm renovation (see prices below) – Donate Now

  • Clothe lines : – $1,000 – complete
  • Overhead tanks for the girl dorm – $2,000 – complete 
  • Tiling of both dorms : – $30,000 –   funded – complete
  • Bed Mattresses (cover replacement  + new mattress and cover) – $5,000– complete
  • Painting of both dorms : – $5,000
  • Bedroom doors replacement, shelves and beds : – $15,000 
  • Roof replacement for both dorms : – $36,000 – in progress
  • Otuutlu fence completion : – $7,000 – funded

 

The challenge of running a large orphanage is very dependent on outside help.  Your help is not only helpful but necessary for us to care effectively for these boys and girls. There are many needs, and there are many ways in which you can reach out and bless MoM.

Needs for Cap-Rouge in Haiti

Our long-term goal is to implement a strategy that makes the Community of Cap-Rouge as self-sustaining as possible for its healthcare and elementary education. Reaching that goal, however, is a lengthy process and is full of challenges. Your gifts are necessary to help us care effectively for these boys and girls. Listed below are the many needs and many ways in which you can make a difference in the lives of the villagers in Cap-Rouge.

Healthcare: $1000 per month  – Donate Now

  • Salary for an on-site Nurse
  • Salary for a doctor to work 2 days a month at the clinic for patient follow-up
  • Formula, cloth diapers for babies
  • Daily chewable vitamin tablets for the 300 children enrolled in the school program
  • Laboratory Healthcare Equipment (one time – quote under progress)

Special Needs: Solar panels ( quote in progress ) – complete

  • Will allow the children to access to more educational tools and the villagers to get lab tests performed at the clinic in Cap-Rouge. Currently, the villagers do not have any electricity in Cap-Rouge.

A house for each family :  $1800  – Donate Now

  • A 2 room house  (target to bless 4 families each year)
